MP SCENERY - HALF MOON BAY - KHAF MSFS

MP SCENERY - HALF MOON BAY - KHAF MSFS

Major, major points off for using default ground textures. Ramps, taxiways, runway have no character or realism. Airport modeling is fine, texture work isn't bad - could be a bit better, but not really worth complaining about… ( a few more texture variants on hangars, and less saturated rust textures would have been nice ) Breakwater and boats in the harbor are nice details. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and assume the double radome at Pillar Point is due to me having the “We Love VFR” pack and there's a conflict. With a few days work on the ground textures / decals this could be a 5/5 package. Half Moon Bay is a small airport and doesn't have a lot of hangars or structures - so nailing the look and weathering of the ground materials is 75% of the value of the scenery. I hope this is constructive to the developer, and I would re-review in a second, if this package is updated.

NORTHERN SKY STUDIO - WAIMEA-KOHALA AIRPORT - MSFS

NORTHERN SKY STUDIO - WAIMEA-KOHALA AIRPORT - MSFS

NSS continues a solid track record of great small airports in Hawaii and Alaska. Waimea is no exception. It's a small airport, but the modeling and texturing are really good, and the ground textures are esp good. While the commercial future of the real airport is in question - it's great for short commuter hops from Maui or doing your Mokulele Airlines C208 flights. I'm really hoping NSS will take on Lihue and Kona in the near future - it'd be great to have really high quality airports to round out the major Hawaii destinations, as it seems FSDT isn't going to rev there FSX/P3D versions anytime soon.

NORTHERN SKY STUDIO - KAHULUI AIRPORT - MSFS

NORTHERN SKY STUDIO - KAHULUI AIRPORT - MSFS

1st Major airport for the Hawaiian Islands and it's a good one! NSS has done excellent work on their smaller island airports - Molokai, Kapalua and Hana - all are fantastic for GA and commuter flying. Now we've got a really good inter-island airport that supports flights from the mainland and international destinations + a good hub for the other local NSS airports. This will also fit very nicely with the upcoming PHNL and Honolulu sceneries that are in the works. Airport modeling is excellent and ground textures are very well done. The airport also looks like it fits into the surrounding environment perfectly. The commuter terminal and heliport are nicely detailed as well. Didn't notice any performance issues with this package, either. Kahului should be a great fit for anyone that likes flying the islands! Long/short range jets, GA, Turboprop commuter and tourist helicopters are all well supported here.

NORTHERN SKY STUDIO - TALKEETNA AIRPORT MSFS

NORTHERN SKY STUDIO - TALKEETNA AIRPORT MSFS

Northern Sky has been quietly doing top-notch work on some really good smaller airports in Alaska and Hawaii, and Talkeetna is no exception. Nice attention to detail, good modeling and texturing. Far better than most of what's on the market. Talkeetna is a well-known "bushflying" airport half-way between Anchorage and Fairbanks - and the base for most of the flight-seeing trips into Denali National Park. In addition to stunning scenery nearby - it's a short hop to other major Alaska locations. I've wound up with all the NSS sceneries for MSFS and the quality and detail are consistently good. I'd pick up any of their upcoming projects without a second thought.
