PILOT EXPERIENCE SIM - BORDEAUX MERIGNAC LFBD P3D4-5-6

PILOT EXPERIENCE SIM - BORDEAUX MERIGNAC LFBD P3D4-5-6

There are some pleasant details compared to default but also some cartoonish elements that detract from the overall airport. It's not very well optimized for P3D v5. Flicker, flicker, flicker. You get the feeling this developer has a lot to learn still. Also, they misunderstand the LM install recommendations and force it to your C:\ drive. Very inconsiderate. But hey, it's better than default visually it just feels so unstable. Hopefully these guys will get better.

VIEWPOINT TECHNOLOGIES - MANCHESTER-BOSTON REGIONAL AIRPORT KMHT FSX P3D

VIEWPOINT TECHNOLOGIES - MANCHESTER-BOSTON REGIONAL AIRPORT KMHT FSX P3D

Very good indeed! This rendition of KMHT and environs is quite detailed. No obvious problems running in P3Dv4.1, no shimmering, no black objects and no crashes, so so far so good. These folks seem to know what they are doing even though it doesn't exactly comport to LM's standards. Looking forward to their next project KPWM-Portland,ME - which was done unsatisfactorily by another developer.

MYTRAFFIC 6 FSX+FSXSE+P3D

MYTRAFFIC 6 FSX+FSXSE+P3D

Excellent AI Traffic program for my P3D 2.5/ Win7 x64 world. Commercial, cargo, GA and military flights to all but the tiniest of airfields. MyTrafficPro 6 installed with no problem. I've been using this from one iteration to the next since 2006 and love the twice annual updates with livery and general route changes. Read the installation instructions carefully and it'l be a breeze. Set it and forget it. However, should you be befuddled, flummoxed or otherwise challenged, the developer has an active and informative support site.

TAKEFLIGHT INTERACTIVE - AIR ALASKA FSX P3D

TAKEFLIGHT INTERACTIVE - AIR ALASKA FSX P3D

What a pleasant surprise from some ex-Aces developers for bush pilots running Prepar3D 2.5 or FSX. You are based northeast of Anchorage at Birchwood airport in Chugiac, Alaska. Initially, your stick and rudder skills will be put to the test with a lawn mower engine and sticky, fat tundra tires... and later in a Beech Baron twin. If you have the A2A Piper Cub it fits in seamlessly and if you don't the default cub is used. Works with FTX Southern Alaska or Global/Vector or UTX/GEX or default. There are some rough edges hear and there but the developers have an open, friendly and responsive forum and are actively fixing whatever bugs and nits that get discovered by the intrepid few. Though the missions tend to be short they're well worth the $15. I look forward to more from Takeflight soon.

SCENERY TECH - SOUTH AMERICA LANDCLASS

SCENERY TECH - SOUTH AMERICA LANDCLASS

Although I don't fly a lot in S. America when I do it truly transforms S. America flying for me. The Amazon Mission becomes a whole new experience...keep a keen eye out for some strange and mysterious markings on the land after STLC is added. Replacing default landclass has no performance hits either and can only further improve the FSX experience. I highly recommend STLS. Indeed, I am looking forward to Oceania and Africa soon. No landclass product is perfect, but for my money, if I only have one, STLC is the way to go.
