Visually it's good, but the basics are lacking severely: 1) There's an obvious terraforming issue to one side of the airport. 2) Taxiways have no names, there are no hold short markers *at all*, so it doesn't work with e.g. BATC. It's a pity that after years this developer still has not got the basics of scenery building. I regret buying it and giving it another chance. Will have been my last
Historical weather alone is worth it. Absolutely awesome turbulence effects (even wake turbulence from AI aircraft!) alone are worth it. As for the rest: Fantastic cloud variety (ever seen a stratus cloud in default MSFS?), smooth non-noticeable transitions, much better thunderstorm depiction, spot-on weather depiction in general (compared to the METAR).
Solid, good quality (especially after the latest update which fixed apron textures), paired with a great price... but what really stands out is the performance. I have 50% more FPS than on comparable-sized airports from other devs. By a large margin the best performing bigger airport in all MSFS. I can set AIG to 100% and still have a completely smooth experience. Excellent work.
I have to agree with the previous review: A good looking quality airport, however unusable due to one big tree in the middle of the runway since the world update. I would have expected a fix by now.
Unusable due to performance. I have about 200 airports for P3D5, and this is the worst content-to-performance ratio. For two and a half buildings I get 15 FPS, while I get 25 at KJFK or EDDF or KMIA or KBOS or whatever...
Elevation issues on P3dV5 that made the airport unusable, on top of that no SODE jetways. When I contacted support, they basically replied twice with "We have NEVER seen this issue before, every other customer is VERY happy", not suggesting any help, they rather seemed offended by my mail. After a week I figured out by myself: It is Orbx Vector that is causing this. However, a scenery that doesn't work with Orbx on P3D is inacceptable. On any other airport Vector works just fine. The scenery itself is rather underwhelming, basically one building and flat ground everywhere else. However, I don't know if that is just how it is in real life, so... Anyway, I would not recommend Arima for their support, even though I find their airport portfolio really interesting. I might buy another one on sale.
