OVERLAND - INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RKSI FSX FS2004

OVERLAND - INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RKSI FSX FS2004

[FS2004 version] Very nice ground- and grass-textures with seasonal changes. Very detailed and well modelled buildings with nice night textures. The apron lighting could be a bit better but the lighting of taxiways and runways is breathtaking! The airport is located on an island which is completely modelled and thus perfectly blends into the surroundings. The AFCAD is precise and the airport layout still is up to date 2011. On the whole, the installation is smooth, the manual however (if it deserves the name) is relatively slim. There are several scenery layers which can be activated with the included tool. There is no dynamic scenery but very nice ground vehicles so the airport appears lively (ground vehicles only appear when scenery complexity is set to the highest level). No framerate problems. At least one docking position can handle A380-operations (122). Full AES support available. If you compare the price with similar sceneries, it's justified and on top you get the FS2004 and the FSX versions together. A very impressive scenery, I gladly recommend it!

OVERLAND - JAPANESE AIRPORTS VOL3

[FS2004 Version] Nice ground- and grass-textures with seasonal changes (on some airports the ground markings are yellow instead of white so they can be better recognized in snow conditions). Well modelled buildings, the detail of which could, however, be greater. On the other hand, love for detail is discernible all over the airport. On the whole, the borrowings from FS2002 are still to be seen. The night textures look a bit uniformely and on the smaller airports a bit meagre. The airports also blend well to perfectly into the surroundings: Narita (RJAA) has a very widely modelled surrounding terrain, the smaller airports are all located on islands which seem to have been completely modelles which deserves special attention and is a huge bonus! The AFCADs are exact and the airport layouts still reflect the state of 2011 except for Narita (RJAA), where mainly the new B- and C-taxiways are missing, the imminent construction of which is clearly indicated in the scenery, however. On the whole, the installation is smooth, the manual however (if it deserves the name) is relatively slim. The 3D-vehicles promised with the update do not appear on my system even though scenery complexity is set to the highest level. The only elements of dynamic scenery are a few shuttle trains at Narita, thus the scenery of the airport appears lifeless. No framerate problems. Full AES support is available with a free update; in this scenery, as with many Asian destinations, with a pickup truck as a follow-me instead of the usual van. For Narita (RJAA) at least one docking position for the A380 (46) comes along with the update. Unfortunately, a lot still reminds of FS2002, the once ingenious scenery has aged considerably (but is still by far better than many newer sceneries around). Considering that you get six accurate airports, the Japanese Airports are not really expensive.

OVERLAND - JAPANESE AIRPORTS VOL7

[FS2004 Version] Very nice ground textures and the best grass textures I've seen in a while plus seasonal changes (on some airports the ground markings are yellow instead of white so they can be better recognized in snow conditions). Well modelled buildings, the night textures of which do, however, look a bit uniformely and on the smaller airports a bit meagre. Chubu Airport (RJGG) is entirely located on an artificial island, so it blends in perfectly with the surroundings. The other airports do also blend into the surroundings well to perfectly as they have a very widely modelled surrounding terrain which deserves special attention and is a huge bonus! The AFCADs are exact and the airport layouts still reflect the state of 2011 except for Tokushima (RJOS), where the runway has now been extended into the sea and a new apron has been built, and Saga (RJFS), where only one parking position isn't accurate anymore. On the whole, the installation is smooth, the manual however (if it deserves the name) is relatively slim. There is no dynamic scenery but very nice ground vehicles so the airport appears lively (ground vehicles only appear when scenery complexity is set to the highest level). No framerate problems. Full AES support is available with a free update; in this scenery there is even a pickup truck as a follow-me instead of the usual van. Considering that you get five very accurate airports, the Japanese Airports are not really expensive. In FS2004, RJGG is no standard scenery, so you depend on an add-on, if you would like to fly into this destination which is located rather spectacularly in a bay.

FLYTAMPA - LEGACY - SEATTLE-TACOMA FS2004

FLYTAMPA - LEGACY - SEATTLE-TACOMA FS2004

Exact AFCAD, realistic ground textures, the buildings still appear a little artificial but ok. Blends perfectly into the UT-Scenery. Sparse dynamic traffic (optional). On the whole, the airport appears rather lifeless, vehicles and cargo lack liveliness as well. No framerate problems. Full AES support available. Smooth installation. A nice destination that will certainly appeal to VFR pilots also. The airport represents the state of 2005: the third runway is not yet included (a freeware[!] add-on is available through the Flytampa forum, however) for which I subtract another star: For a FS2004-only scenery with an outdated airport layout, the scenery is by far overpriced.
