BLUEPRINT SIMULATIONS - KDTW DETROIT METROPOLITAN FSX

BLUEPRINT SIMULATIONS - KDTW DETROIT METROPOLITAN FSX

Blueprint are upfront about what they deliver - accurately placed facilities and infrastructure, and that's exactly what you get here. Installation is was rather straight forward. The building textures are fairly basic, so don't be expecting baked shadows etc, but the detail of the apron and runways and the terminal placement etc is very, very good. If you're using it to familiarise yourself with the airport it's great! I would recommend the option of downloading the high definition photo terrain that is an option from their website - I still don't fully understand why it isn't included as part of the default package. Lastly this is very framerate friendly. Isn't as "pretty" a depiction of an airport as some developers, but what is here is (like I mentioned before) very, very good.

MOGWAISOFT - SHADE

MOGWAISOFT - SHADE

Good product that does actually make quite a visual difference. The interface is a little confusing but the enhancement it provides with contrast and colour depths it generates is impressive. Being able to "bake" the settings in to the FSX without needing to run the app each time was a welcome update - so set and forget - but getting the perfect settings is still a little hit and miss - but then again based on the number of different variables such as monitor brightness/contrast/colour depth I understand you'll never be able to create a preset that works for everyone, hence being allowed an interface you can modify is appreciated. Worth getting at this price and having a tinker - you should be impressed by what it delivers.

BEETLE PRINT - EXPERIENCE X FSX P3D

BEETLE PRINT - EXPERIENCE X FSX P3D

Works as advertised - easy install, 3D lights that seem to be attached to default night scenery tiles, doesn't seem to impact fps too much. But ... the effect just doesn't seem enough, at least for me. It provides some depth, but it still left me with a flat feeling. Lights appear very square, all the same intensity, and just doesn't look terribly convincing as yet. It is a good start that will hopefully improve with some updates - more glow, rounder appearance, better placement in scenery tiles. Have removed already, but will keep an eye on it and will update as updates are released

FSX TO PREPAR3D MIGRATION TOOL

FSX TO PREPAR3D MIGRATION TOOL

Works very well - set it and forget. Haven't come across any issues and makes it simple to move across from FSX to Prepar3d. I got rid of FSX completely, so copying files and changing xml and cfg files isn't really an option, and would have always been a hassle. I've only come across a problem with the Airbus X but everything - from scenery to complex aircraft such as the PMDG 737 ngx and 747-400x seems to install without any intervention. I can recommend just for ease of use.
