PAULO RICARDO - JOINVILLE 2017 SBJV FSX P3D

PAULO RICARDO - JOINVILLE 2017 SBJV FSX P3D

Basically, I feel like I'm stealing Paulo Ricardo. Why is that? Well, you get a great product, with more than 3.2GB worth of scenery (airport and surrounding areas) for a very, very low price. And this is not an amateur developer trying to make a buck with a low quality product. Search simMarket and you'll find out what I'm saying. So buying this, with such a low price, is a no-brainer even if you don't fly that much to South America, Brazil. Just do it!

AEROSOFT - KTNP - TWENTYNINE PALMS FSX P3D

This is of those little (or big) gems you come across every now and then. The developers went full length to detail this scenery. It has the look and feel of the actual airport and surrounding area. I do hope the developers continue producing sceneries like this one. Its well worth everything here and the price is a bargain for what you get. See for yourself and buy it. :)

VIRTUALCOL - DASH 8 SERIES X FSX P3D

VIRTUALCOL - DASH 8 SERIES X FSX P3D

I'm one of those casual pilots that don't like to spend hours reading manuals with hundreds of pages or taking hours to go from a "cold and dark" state to a "ready for taxi" condition. I like to jump in an aircraft, toggle some switches ON or OFF, for the sake of some realism, and be flying in no time. Also, highly complicated aircraft in my system takes a large amount of VAS and FPS, so I tend to steer away from them. I'm not a fan of huge aircraft (mostly "tubeliners") and not a fan of little aircraft also (mostly GA). So VirtualCol gives us mid-range aircraft, like this one and others, that is not small or huge enough, that has modern cockpits instruments and so forth. Does this aircraft fly well in FSX? Well, I'm not a real life pilot to know exactly what it does but the flying conditions suits my needs. I'm giving it 3/4 stars because I think VirtualCol could have spent more time refining the textures they made. For example, look closely and you'll find some misaligned lines outside the aircraft (the left side doesn't always match the right side); the virtual cockpit could have been more detailed, not in functions, but in textures, colors and letters. You can refine all these flaws but it takes time and knowledge to do it. In a nutshell, with this product you get a lot of different liveries (the real intention of this product IMO), a really unimpressive virtual cockpit, and some flawed textures. However, in the end it gets the job done.

PAULO RICARDO - MEGA SAO PAULO FSX

PAULO RICARDO - MEGA SAO PAULO FSX

I often flew in Brazil and the main reason was that there was a lack of good, detailed and professionally done sceneries to fly around. This has ended, somehow, with Paulo Ricardo's sceneries. In real life I have flown the air shuttle between Rio and Sao Paulo for more than 150 times, taking absolutely all routes and approaches, in all kinds of weather. With the right weather program (Active Sky Next), the right AI Traffic software (MTX), both of which are optional, you feel like you are in the real world when you fly Mega Sao Paulo. Join it with MEGA ROUTE RIO SAO PAULO (A MUST HAVE) and you'll get a jaw-breaking experience. I do hope Paulo Ricardo extends his work to all major capitals of Brazil.

PAULO RICARDO - MEGA RIO DE JANEIRO AND NATAL CITY PACK 5 FSX

PAULO RICARDO - MEGA RIO DE JANEIRO AND NATAL CITY PACK 5 FSX

If you thought you have seen them all, wait until you see this. Rio de Janeiro has been finally rendered the way it should be. By the sheer size of the download you know you won't get less for what you have asked for. You get the whole city, with dozens or even hundreds of buildings accurately positioned and modeled, one of the toughest landing airports in the world, Santos Dumont, highly detailed and accurately done and a lot of other goodies for a price most scenery designers would charge for more or even split in two or three packages. Rio de Janeiro is not one of those South American 3rd world exotic cities, it is one of the biggest cities in the world and it will host the Soccer World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016. So if you want to get acquainted with it then this is for you. Don't be fooled with the images posted here because they are much, much better when you see them live. So yes, this is a most definitely buy. You won't regret it.

FLYTAMPA - LEGACY - MONTREAL FS2004 FSX

FLYTAMPA - LEGACY - MONTREAL FS2004 FSX

This is another high quality scenery from FlyTampa. What else can I say? No OOM's, FPS friendly, lots of details and so forth. These guys are the best and you can't expect less from them. Don't ever think twice when buying scenery from FlyTampa. So go for it. :)

FLYTAMPA - DUBAI REBOOTED FS2004 FSX P3D

The problem with these reboots is that now you want FlyTampa to reboot all their sceneries, or even the whole universe, given that they are the best scenery designers around. For those who are discovering MS Flight Simulator or Prepar3D this is a must have, no questions asked. I don't even have to say what to do for those that already know FlyTampa's excellence and quality.

FLYING W SIMULATION - FWS - SUPER TRAFFIC BOARD V3 FOR FSX

FLYING W SIMULATION - FWS - SUPER TRAFFIC BOARD V3 FOR FSX

I'm slowly migrating from FS9 to FSX and the functionalities I had in FS9 must exist in FSX. These functionalities must convince me that it's worth migrating, since I invested a lot in FS9 (money and time). So I had a simple freeware that managed AI aircraft traffic board and hoped I found something similar for FSX. Well, I did not, but instead found this piece of software. It goes beyond what I imagined. It's easy to use and has settings/options that fulfill the most demanding flight simmers desires. Some options I won't even use, but it's there and someday I might. That's the beauty of it. I'm picky about things and have no regrets with this investment. So, yes, this is a sure buy.

LHSIMULATIONS KFT. - GYOR-PER (LHPR-LHBY) SCENERY

LHSIMULATIONS KFT. - GYOR-PER (LHPR-LHBY) SCENERY

What I like about designers like this one is the attention for details. Ok, it is two small airports but nevertheless I call this one perfect. The immersion you get is fantastic and it's like you are there, on the "real" world. This level of commitment is what separates most designers. It's not just a bunch of polygons wrapped around together, but something that the designer made with care and attention. I can say that very few have this "gift". Some are good, others are better. This is the latter case. Have no regrets acquiring this scenery. And best of all, you pay a low price for two FS versions.

BLUEPRINT - RIO DE JANEIRO - GALEAO FS2004

BLUEPRINT - RIO DE JANEIRO - GALEAO FS2004

Yes, it is a fair price since you get two airports (SBGL and SBRJ), but most of the textures are very standard, both airports are lifeless and the immediate surrounding scenery lacks many details. FS9 and FSX sell separately and this is a downfall too. I have both airports made by TropicalSim, which are sold separately here at simMarket, both includes FS9 and FSX in one package, and although they look old (read user reviews), it beats Blueprint's scenery by a large margin. But then again, if you don't want to pay much, overall airport details are not your thing, then this is something you may want to buy. From what I have seen, and I have dozens of sceneries that I have legally bought, I will have to wait for another scenery designer to pick these airports and do a much better job.
