Superb scenery! Excellent fast support from the developer after I had an issue with the apron and runway textures - for anyone who has a similar issue, I hadn't run the 'Purge and Rebuild SODE' option!
Brilliant scenery, and excellant after sales service from Richer Simulations. I had problems installing in P3D v5.3, but after an exchange of two messages with RS, it was all sorted out. Extremely fast response on their part. Turns out I had a problem with my SODE installation which prevented the tarmac and aprons showing. Uninstalled and reinstalled SODE and hey presto! All good. Very pleased. This scenery is compatible with P3D v5.3.
I cannot comment on the quality of this product because was not able to install it into my FSX.
The installer is designed for P3D with a special patch for FSX. The process of installation is quite complicated and somewhat confusing. I spent 2 days and several hours of my time trying to install it without any success. The customer service was good and fast to respond, gave some new instructions. I have followed them thoroughly - didn't work for me. I don't understand why not to design and allow on Simmarket platform FSX's separate installer for this product. Just waist of time and money for me. If you have FSX , I would not recommend this product.
This scenery is beautifully done and is a hub for most of the Caribbean Islands and linking the Caribbean to destinations world wide, so this is a must have... the developer's support for his products is top notch as well. I recommend this scenery.
Very nice scenery and outstandingly reliable installer: it does the job VERY well, whatever the location you're installing the scenery in. Patching the scenery for accommodating (so-called) FSX legacy requirements works like a charm. Prompt and efficient support from Zev who responded by return email and fixed the (supposed) issue I had with ground textures. By the way, don't forget to check for available update and run the update utility from the scenery configuration tool after the scenery is installd for the first time. Congrats and tyhans to Richer Simulations.
This is a very nice scenery and necessary for the Caribean to fly. Even if this is published as "P3Dv4" there is a possibility to get this into P3Dv5 with the help of the developer - update for the config-tool needed and a patch. This all is handled in less than 10 hours. Thumbs up !
Being a Concorde fan, Barbados is a MUST HAVE scenery. I had been using a freeware version for years, and I have to admit I was quite happy with it so, the obvious question is, is it worth paying for the update? The developer really deserves the price charged. Barbados is a small airport, but this version is incredibly rich in details. Its quality is second to none, so if you like to invest in high quality sceneries there is no doubt your money will be well invested. As I mentioned, I am Concorde fan and currently I only fly Concorde-X by FSLabs, which requires P3Dv3. At fist, the only surface shown was the runway and there was grass were taxiways and the terminal platform where supposed to be. I contacted the developer, exchanged a couple of emails and in less than 24 hours we solved the problem. In my case what solved the problem was leaving the default directory for the installation (the counter-intuitive "Prepar3D v4 Add-ons") for the Config tool to work correctly. Otherwise, the "patch" to convert the default P3Dv4 scenery into a P3Dv3 compatible did not work and the problem described before showed. Now that my problem is solved I am a super-happy pilot flying my Concorde in and out Barbados :-)
