    • Description

    Serving more than 26 million passengers a year, Salt Lake City International Airport is the 21st busiest airport in the United States and the 70th in the world. With passenger traffic increasing in the past several years, an airport redevelopment program titled The New SLC was Implemented. This program was intended to replace the former terminals, some nearly half a decade old, with 2 brand new concourses to increase passenger traffic to up to 34 million a year. This airport redevelopment program is scheduled to be completed in 2024 with the old terminals demolished in 2020/2021.

    Founded by the Mormons in 1847, Salt Lake City currently has a population of around 200,000 people, with popular skiing and outdoor recreational activities to the east. Alongside Salt Lake International Airport, Salt Lake City and the greater Salt Lake Area houses several regional and GA airports including: KBTF, KU42, and KTVY.

     

    Scenery includes:

    - 2 brand new concourses with accurate gates

    - Custom made buildings placed throughout the airport

    - Taxiways and aprons made from the ground up

    - Working ground services

    - Hundreds of custom placed taxiway markings

    - Hardstand gates

    Note: Product will be updated as construction of the real airport progresses.

    Installation: Simply extract the zip file into your MSFS Community Folder.

    Updating: Replace old scenery folder with the new one.

    Fixed - Replaced jetway linkages with static ones to prevent jetway linkage issues.

    Good price. An accurate rendition of the new terminal structures at SLC. The terminals match the the charts and maps which helps when identifying the right gates. The terminals are lacking details and quality. Some clutter and other object would have been nice to see. Overall not bad. 4 stars.

    The only good thing about this scenery is the somewhat accurate placement of the terminals. The textures are low quality, ground textures are default, and the construction area is just "yikes". Hopefully there is an update soon.

    Pretty decent product, great to have a scenery file featuring the new facilities. Textures are a bit plain and lacking in detail though. Not a bad product overall.

    Overall very good with the new improvement of all the buildings, taxiways, and satellite imagery. I give it four stars because the terminal buildings and all the buildings overall aren't very detailed for the price. This says that it will be updated with the progress of the actual airport. I hope to see greater airport detail in the future, along with the editions. But overall I am extremely happy someone made the terminal and did a pretty good job at it.
