Description
Penang International Airport (IATA: PEN, ICAO: WMKP) is an airport in northern Malaysia. The airport is located near Bayan Lepas at the southeastern tip of Penang Island, 16 km (9.9 mi) south of the city centre.The airport is the third-busiest airport in Malaysia in terms of passenger traffic and the second-busiest in terms of cargo tonnage.
As the third busiest airport in Malaysia, Penang International Airport recorded 7.23 million tourist arrivals in 2017.
Penang International Airport also serves as the main hub for Firefly and as a secondary hub for AirAsia.
