Unfortunately, in Prepar3D, vast territories of many countries are represented with rather weak detailing and filling.
A new project from Sky Flyer Hangar "Digital World" corrects this shortcoming and allows you to enjoy VFR flights over vast territories with the quality not inferior to orthoimages, while surpassing them in many parameters including scalability, seasons, stable quality and accuracy of data.
Geoanalysis of the vast amount of OSM data highlighted key terrain features and integrated into the simulator geo-model. The project adds a huge number of roads, forests, reclaimed and added water resources (including small rivers and streams), cities, villages, fields and many other unique details to make your flight even closer to reality.
In developing this add-on, many new technologies were used, such as:
• A complete rejection of the default landclass of settlements, now only vector technologies are
used. At the same time, the cities look absolutely identical to the real ones. New algorithms for
expanding and identifying settlements have also been developed.
• The system for generating hydro resources has been completely redesigned, and coastlines have
been added. There is the opportunity to use frozen water in winter.
• Completely redesigned and current at the moment the road network including all highways,
secondary and local roads, junctions and bridges. There is car traffic on major roads.
• Created 3D lighting of roads of highways of streets and settlements.
• Added a full-fledged railway network, current at the moment.
• For better orientation in flight, high-voltage power lines have been added.
• Added POIs - antennas, cranes, beacons, communication towers, fuel tanks and much more.
Addon fully covers the territory of Kazakhstan.
