Haikou Meilan International Airport(IATA:HAK,ICAO:ZJHK) is situated in Lingshan County, Meilan District, Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province. The airport is about 15km to the downtown area of Haikou by straight line distance. Construction began in December 1993 and it comes in serve on May 25, 1999. With an area of 5,830,000 m².

Haikou Meilan International Airport is a 4E level airport that could accommodate jumbo jets like Boeing 747-400. Up till now, Haikou has 220 air routes connecting 65 cities in and out of China. In 2003, the airport was under extension construction, now the terminal area is about 1,020,000 m².

Initially, the airport was designed to handle 9,300,000 passengers, 1,350,000 tons of cargo and 50,000 flights annually. While In 2004, Haikou Meilan International Airport witnessed 7,478,210 passenger, 66,582.7 tons of cargo and 68,282 flights, ranking 8, 17 and 10 respectively in China.

The terminal area is about 60,200 m², with 45 check-in counters and 11 security booths. The runway is 3,600m long and 60m wide, paralleling taxiway 3,600m long and 44m wide.

this is a very nice airport pack well done to the scenery team on a fantastic pack very happy with this pack :) ;)

The day scenery is reasonably good as in sceenshots.. but just curious no one mention about night scenery or was it prevented by simmarket.. i think night lightings of the terminals look very amateur and freeware quality, and shd really improve its night lighting and effects considering price is comparable to many other better known developers. As i fly night more and hence lower rating for me.

Absolutely wonderful addon airport. One of those rare airports where (even though it is only pixels on your PC screen), you really feel that you are there, in China. Everything from the sandy coloured runway textures to the authentic Chinese Kanji characters is just perfect. My new favourite airport, and great for Chine Southern flights all over China and Asia (where there are now some great addon airports). Highly recommended.

Excellent!Although running FSX with a low end computer,the scenery can still give me a acceptable frame rate and memory usage,which made me very happy and out of my expectation.
