The North East's premier GA Airfield located in the heart of County Durham near the village of Sedgefield. Fishburn Airfield is a small grass strip airfield in Fishburn, County Durham. The airfield was opened on 30 June 1995 by the then local MP and Leader of the Opposition Tony Blair. It was named as "Airfield of the year" by aviation magazine Flyer in 2004 for its welcoming atmosphere and bacon butties. The scenery include custom objects and adjustment to some buildings around the area. Now updated to version 1.1 (5 october 2020).
I am amending my last reviews (3 stars) to a FIVE STAR review. I was unhappy that the Fishburn scenery did come with any parking spots in MSFS. I emailed the developer, Taburet asking about this, and received a reply almost immediately stating that he would add a parking spot. He emiled the following day to confirm that he had now added it, and the new updated version is awaiting upload at Simmarket. THIS IS FIVE STAR SERVICE! Thank you Senor Taburet.
This is my lcoal airfield and, considering the low price, this would have been 5 stars....but, the developer has not added ANY parking spaces to the airfield. So, just like the default MSFS version, you HAVE to start every flight on the runway, with the engine running etc. For a payware airfield this is very disappointing - I actually only bought this airfield because I assumed at the very least that it would finally include at least 1 parking spot, for starting flights on.
