It is the sole international airport in Nepal and has one domestic terminal and one international.
This is one of the World's most dangerous airports known for its challenging approach. Located just right by 'The Roof of the World", the airport is surrounded by a mountainous terrain which makes it very tricky for the pilot to make an approach.

Zuerst: das download file ist 79MB groß (nicht nur 79 Byte, wie fälschlicherweise als Dateigröße angegeben wird).
Der Installer funktioniert nach meiner Erfahrung nur für FSX reibungslos; ich habe aber erfolgreich VNKT auch für FSX-Steam und P3D4.5 installiert, allerdings manuell. Eine diesbzgl. vorherige Erkundigung per Mail beim Ersteller blieb unbeantwortet.
Man ist heutzutage natürlich mehr Reichtum an Details und größere Genauigkeit gewöhnt, als es 2012 bei der Veröffentlichung dieser Szenerie für den FSX der Fall war (deshalb nur 3 Sterne). Die nächtliche Flughafenbeleuchtung besteht beispielsweise aus grobflächig eingestreutem Lampenlicht, nicht aus dezenter HD-Beleuchtung. Man darf sich auch nicht daran stören, dass es zu kleinen Unzulänglichkeiten kommt, wie etwa einer quer über das Flughafengelände führenden Straße, auf welcher gelegentlich der öffentliche Verkehr dahinrollt.
Trotzdem ist diese Szenerie weit lebendiger als die rudimentäre Original-Szenerie von FSX, FSX-Steam und P3D.
Für den geringen Preis, zumal als "special price", ist diese Szenerie auf alle Fälle ihr Geld wert, zumal sie meines Wissens die einzige zum Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport ist.

Excellent scenery and combined with the Aerosoft Twin Otter and Aerosoft Lukla airport scenery you will have a challenging and very enjoyable flying experience

Very good script for a fairly low price.
Interesting enough mountain setting, support for AES, for quite a large coverage area around the airport, a lot of attention to detail in the airport. This script is required to buy those who love flying and Asia.

Installed this scenery yesterday, as I have been wanting to explore Nepal with the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended. For the price of VNKT scenery, and the nice details it includes, this is a real bargain. Thai Creation did an excellent job on this scenery as well as the Paro scenery. With FSX sliders nearly maxed out, the exception of AI traffic (30% aircraft/no road or boat traffic), I get solid 30 FPS using the Twotter with this scenery. Makes it more of a joy to make the challenging flights from VNKT to Aerosoft's Lukla airport and vice versa. I use Opus weather engine for more accurate weather depiction....what a great combination!
Frankly I am surprised more people haven't written more positive reviews about Thai Creation's masterpiece.

The good things at first: Over all really nice scenery with lot of detail. It was one of my most awaited sceneries in 2012 and you can do a lot of (short haul) flights to Paro, Lukla or New Delhi ect. The approach is awesome and if the wind forcing you to end the already challanging VOR/DME Rwy 02 with all its descent-steps in a circling approach into runway 20 you will experience a really, really nice challenge.
But at current state this scenery is truly not worth 5 stars. I really hope that there will be an update soon. The AFCAD needs some fixes and the ground textures (especially arround the airport) have poor resolution. Beside this my "docs" folder remained empty after installation - no charts, no manual. So I was pending between 3 and 4 stars but gave 4 at the end.

Just got this scenery and I like it very much. Airport taxiways, runway and buildings are all modeled in good quality, good amount of surrounding areas covered with custom 3D buildings and photoscenery blends very well with default scenery around it. Definitely worth the price if you are looking for major airport with very interesting approach.
