Unfortunately, in its present state, almost three months since release, it is poor value for money when compared to other payware aircraft such as the Flying Iron Spitfire. For an extra £5, the Spitfire looks and feels entirely real with lifelike 4K textures and gauges. I know there is now a pack of extra textures for the Powersolo, but the instruments and switches and so basic they give the impression the cockpit is made of Lego Duplo. Come on VGP please sort this out. Most of the cockpit is fresh air, there's hardly acres of panelling or banks of knobs switches and gauges.
The only thing I don't like are the textures. So -1 star for that:
The whole plane looks a bit like it comes fresh out of a 3D developer's program (which it does of course). Not only is there to wear or scratches. But the textures look too perfect and don't come across as real as if the whole plane had perfectly even surfaces and 100% perfect paint. The engine looks a bit like a toy.
I don't normally go out of my way to review something, this is so great I have had to come along and give my 2c.
So much fun to fly! Anywhere is now a landing strip and if the winds are right she will go down not unlike a chopper!
Ive booked up nearly 30hrs in this thing, cruising low and slow. Exploring whatever tickles my fancy.
Overall.. Get it! You will not be disappointed in the slightest.
I will be supporting this Dev in all their future developments.
I send a huge thankyou for the hours of fun anf many more to come!
In short: Get it, you won't regret it!
The creator also actively listens to feedback in the forum. I think it's worth the price.
V.G.P. stands for a very good product!
The flight model feels pretty good. Everything works just about.
I was expecting a bit higher quality modeling and texturing given the $12 eur tag.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 switched to "Modern" flight model. 780MB of free disc space.
