I get why so many people are not big fans of this. However the sounds at least have been upgraded a lot! It really sounds great. Although some very small areas like sliding one of the ventilation or heating options are silent when being moved. But that’s a minor nit pick. Some areas of the texturing are a little subpar but these are mostly in areas out of pilot view. Nothing that glares at you screaming yuck. Just a few nooks and crannies that have lower resolution than the more prominent spots. It does seem a bit inconsistent but forgivable.
The biggest problem that costs a star is the way the aircraft vertical controls behave. They are far too sensitive and exaggerated. It can be mitigated by some smart trimming but it still shouldn’t even be like that.
Besides those things it is a solid aircraft for MSFS. Lots of liveries. As I understand the reason development has slowed is because the main developer is in Ukraine and working during black outs and air raids etc. I can’t even imagine but I wanted to support him in some small way by buying this work and having patience with development speed. It is certainly a decent aircraft add on that’s only now in need of some flight model tweaks to the elevator behaviors.
I picked it up yesterday after being inspired by his story of what he's endured. I visited Ukraine before the war and still have friends there. I feel so bad for the people there and to know he was dedicated to contribute to our hobby despite of what he was going through really made me support him. It's a good model but still a bit twitchy. I made some adjustments to the files myself and after doing so, I think it's a really solid twin. While the sounds are improved, I think there's too much base in the interior sounds. I use the butt kicker amplifier and it's just too much for it to handle because of the constant vibrations. If the sounds could be tweaked yet again, I would give it five starts. The visuals are really outstanding and overall it's a good model.
the sounds are horrible needs a update some of the texturing mainly inside needs updated to todays standards overall 30 dollars in my opinion is to much for this in its current state fix the sounds and crisp up the cockpit textures then it will be a good product to recommend
Would expect a few updates over time, but right now its pretty good. Some textures are average, but i suppose expected in a 7 year old model for xplane. Flight model is good, I like the sounds..
A fuir. Vaut 10-15€, max.
The aircraft looks great and is modeled well but... it has the typical MSFS elevator (super touchy, and kind of bounces), the ailerons are extremely the opposite (takes a ton of input to get a standard roll rate, but maybe that's accurate..?) The engine sounds aren't terrible, could use work, it's quite apparent that they're on a loop. But most annoying of all, I get constant audible windshear alerts... That's a new one. I think there is a good basis here but there is A LOT of tweaking and updating that needs to be done yet in my opinion. Hopefully with time, those updates and refinements will come, as i love the twinke. For now though, I can't recommend it.
