About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, which means that no matter where you fly in FSX you will most-likely encounter a body of water during your flight. This is where 'Utlimate Water X' improves the realism in the simulator by including new water textures and effects. The color and brightness of the water has also been adjusted so that oceans, lakes and rivers look as real as possible. We can confidently say that these are the most realistic and detailed water effects ever created for FSX.

Frequently asked Questions
Q: Will there be a Prepar3D version?
A: At this point, it is not likely there will be a Prepar3D version given that the water effects are rendered differently in Prepar3D and so far we haven't found a way to effectively port them. That being said, if we find a way to replicate the water effects in Prepar3D we will gladly release a P3D version.
Q: Will these new water effects require more processor power or affect my frame rates?
A: No, these water effects are textured-based, and it will not affect your frame rates. You must however have your water effects set to maximum in your FSX Display Settings in order for the effects to be rendered correctly.
