This highly detailed expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition and Prepar3D v3 gives you the opportunity to experience this busy airport on your flight sim PC.

High resolution satellite imagery and accurate, hand-placed 3D-objects create a very realistic representation of the airport. On top of that, AES-Lite is included simulating airport traffic in a very dynamic and realistic manner. To ensure excellent performance at all circumstances this expansion comes with a configuration tool allowing to enable or disable certain objects to either improve performance or enhance visuals. As an additional feature you can choose matching seasonal textures to get the best possible experience at any time of the year.

Manchester Airport, opened in 1929, served as a former Royal Air Force Base during World War II. Today, the airport handles over 21 million passengers and over 93,000 tons of freight every year and is known to be Great Britain’s biggest airport outside of London with over 180 destinations worldwide.

Great scenery but it has some flaws. I am a little bit disappointed about the FPS as it's not a so huge airport, but even while making the approach I'm not satisfied with the FPS which make almost stuttering images (around 10 to 12 Fps) and I'm running with a Pentium I3 3,6 GHZ with Graphic card GTX 960 which is not the best powerful combinaison Imust admit, but this enable me to have good FPS in most of the airports that I buy. Here, with that Manchester X I have a poorer frame rate of FPS than in MEGA FRANKFURT X and MEGA LONDON X which are both satisfactory to me in spite of the fact that they are both big airports with complex scenes.If I want to use this MANCHESTER X with some acceptable fluidity I must decrease the complxity of the scenery which is not satisfactory. So, let's say it's good scenery but has some flaws.

If you can handle the performance this is a fantastic Airport. Very beatiful.

I love the scenery but it was a waste of $! I can't get off the ground without sim crashing, way too high VAS (OOM). I think I will try the UK2000 version. Needs some serious work( I had textures set to 1048 default). I have all Orbx British Isles sceneries installed and activated as well. I didn't even have any other Aerosoft stuff installed in UK. Needs an update bad, James

Mittlerweile ist ein Update nachgereicht worden. Die Szenerie ist jetzt auch mit FTX Global Vector in einfachen Einstellungen und einem PMDG-Flieger anzufliegen. Der Speicherbedarf ist aber immer noch sehr hoch. In Prepar3d v3.4 ist mir ausserdem ein seltsamer Darstellungsfehler bei den Einparkhilfen aufgefallen: Hat man sie nicht direkt im Blickfeld, rotieren sie wie ein Uhrzeiger. Sind sie knapp ausserhalb des Bildschirms, sieht man das. Insgesamt gebe ich der Szenerie jetzt drei Sterne. Es bleibt nach wie vor ein schaler Nachgeschmack, die Probleme hätten einem Beta-Tester definitiv auffallen müssen, und so habe ich die Szenerie gute zwei Monate lang nicht benutzen können, obwohl ich sie bezahlt hatte.

Horrendous VAS eater! Even on normal settings as I was taxing to the runway the VAS bell was going off and eventually it crashed. Never had this problem with UK 2000 sceneries

Der Speicherbedarf ist jenseits von Gut und Böse. Mit einem komplexen Flieger ist die Szenerie nicht zu gebrauchen.
