Description
This scenery has been developed for use with P3D V6. Lights, transparent textures, and materials are not compatible with previous P3D versions.
Gimpo International (ICAO: RKSS, IATA: GMP) is the airport of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. It features two runways (14L/32R and 14R/32L) and is closer to the city center than the newer Incheon Airport.
The International Terminal has been extensively furnished with authentic interior details. Animated schedules inside change with simulator time, and all departure information signs at the gates are linked to update flights and departure times. Seating areas, airline lounges, and the departure hall have now been added to this terminal. The new terminal's parking structure has also been modeled.
The airport and textures replicate the real-life counterpart as of 2023/2024. The high level of detail minimally impacts the frame rate, but if needed, it is possible to switch to the older terminal version. A configuration program allows objects, such as the Embraer, to be toggled on or off.
The SGBAC building now includes a departure hall with complete interior detailing. Crew rooms have also been added.
Included in the scenery are the new observation platform (National Terminal), the new National Aviation Museum of Korea, Embraer Lineage 1000 (Air Hamburg D-ANNI), rented by Blackpink during their Born Pink world tour, helicopters (Police and Korea Forest) as static objects, and many more models.
Many K-Pop stars such as Blackpink, IU, TXT, Twice, and New Jeans use Gimpo when starting their tours in Asia. Hence, this airport is well-known in Asia. International flights to and from Gimpo are operated by Asiana Airlines, Korean Air, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Korea Express Air, Shanghai Airlines, and Jeju Air.
A docking guidance system is not included, as it is also not present in reality. However, there is a file for GSX users with presets. All jetways are animated with SODE, as well as the approach lighting, which automatically activates in rain, snow, and poor visibility. Radar antennas, runway surveillance lights, and ground vehicles are also animated.
Attention: Jetway Connection to AI-Aircraft will not work with SODE Version 1.8.0 until the developers of SODE offer a newer updated SODE Version. Please read the manual inside if you try to use SODE 1.7.1 with P3D V6.
