REALWORLDSCENERY - KODIAK ALASKA PADQ P3DV4

REALWORLDSCENERY - KODIAK ALASKA PADQ P3DV4

This is a complex airport serving commercial and GA on the east side, and the USCG on the south. There are high mountains all around, especially the 3000ft Elbow Mountain at the end of Rwy 25. Personally, I am not a fan of photorealistic scenery. It certainly adds a lot of detail. Overall, the summer colours are a bit garish for my taste.. Some of the GA parking marks overlap the edge of the apron. I use ORBX and Pilots FSGlobal Ultimate which may explain this. There is just one Gate and this is coded Heavy although there are regular Alaska Airline flights with B737 or A320 types. Anyone interested in AI schedules will have to add parking spots for these and other turboprop aircraft.

DRZEWIECKI DESIGN - BAKU X FSX P3D

DRZEWIECKI DESIGN - BAKU X FSX P3D

It is good to have a high quality scenery for Baku, Azerbaijan. As far as I can tell it is a faithful reproduction of the real world airport, and the modelling is of a very high standard. One might even say that with the Caspian Sea as a backdrop, it is beautiful to behold. The frame rate hit in my high-ish end system is slight with most of the sliders well to the right. There is one big disappointment. The AI planes get stuck at the hold short nodes, and similarly, landing AI plane either overfly the airport or land and then vanish. This has been reported to DD by several users. So far, there has been no acknowledgement that this is an ongoing problem, so there is no sign of a fix.

THAI CREATION - NI HAO MACAU: MACAU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FSX

THAI CREATION - NI HAO MACAU: MACAU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FSX

This is a great value scenery which is compatible with AES and FTX Global on my Windows 7 x64 system. The runway at Macau is built out from the ramp/terminal area on piers on reclaimed land. This unusual feature has been very nicely captured by Thai Creations. Airport buildings, vehicles, and the other detritus of a busy airport are well modelled. Additionally, the Ferris wheel and Hotel China are included, giving a very authentic feel of the real world Macau. Even the muddy waters of the Pearl River are faithfully reproduced. As would be expected in a scenery of this complexity there is a small frame-rate hit. Providing my AI was not set too high, I rarely dropped below 25 fps in my 4 year old i7 system. The scenery is also available for FS2004. I have both. Highly recommended.
