Hi everybody, I use the ARMI Scenery of Muscat OOMS in P3D4.5, and I must say: it works absolutely fine! Although I'm not familiar with the local situation, it seems to me that many of the airport buildings are included (much more than the original ones in P3D), and especially the RUNWAY is CORRECTED: in P3d, it is not located in the right position causing a landing undefined next to the shore of the Gulf of Oman. But using this scenery, the landing is performed perfectly on the runway! A little pity: the city of Muscat and the rugged Hadschar Mountains are not included which would be a wish for further development or a scenery of its own. 4 stars for a perfect airport scenery really worth the money if you like flying in Arabian countries.
Abu Dhabi City - a fascinating Scenery! Seems as if all major buildings are included, although Abu Dhabi in reality presents much more. Earth's fastest coaster, Formula Rossa and the Ferrari World itself, many hotels, mosques and islands give way for perfect flight exploration. The installation must be done manually via "Add Scenery", but this is very easy; an explanation and furthermore a manual with coverage area are included in the download.
First of all, I must admit that I'm not familiar with the real situation at Miami; thus, my lines should be read more as statement instead of comparison with reality. The download size of 2,2 GB is self-explaining: seems to me as if the reproduction of realitiy is very close. However, a very good graphic card is advisable: my GTX 1660TI with 6 GB video memory is nearly overloaded, even if the settings are reduced to lower values (I use the scenery with P3D4.5). The video ram on the airport itself and in Miami City mostly lies nearly close to 8GB, so in my case about 2 GB are reserved from normal computer ram - reducing the fps to not more than 10 fps. Nevertheless, the simulation is acceptable. The area that is mapped really seems to be huge. Fly up to the North or down to the South or even to the East - you always will find the skyscrapers of Miami, beaches, harbours and leisure boats. If the higher price is acceptable to you is a decision of your own. Besides international flights, I use KMIA together with the Key West Scenery for local flight adventures after work ... superb if you like tropical conditions. So finally: have a good flight
I want to add to my yesterday's lines: in the original P3D, YALA (Marla) is not included. However, after installation, you find it as YALA in the flight planner in usual way.
In reality, the little Australian outback village of MARLA is an important place as it is located at the junction of Oodnadatta Track and Stuart Highway with some facilities as petrol station on the long way to Alice Springs. However, the village itself is not included in this scenery; the "airport" really is nothing more than an bituminized airstrip in the wilderness, thus giving some reminders for Austrlian travellers. My proposal for further development: In future, an update of this scenery should remove some bush on the airstrip's beginning and could furthermore include the few houses at Marla itself, the petrol station and some of the typical huge Australian trucks called road trains - this would bring more life into the scenery and one more star. The price is ok but should not be increased.
Sightseeing Hong Kong - from at home! Well, I took the risk buying the scenery for use with P3d Version 4.5 - and it works! Real great! 1) Installation is easy if you're familiar with self-installation, as written in the description. You can choose your own directory, and after installation, you have to include it in P3D by use of the "Scenery Library". Although the City scenery ist ABOVE the airport scenery, there are no problems occuring. Seems as if Hong Kong City does not touch the airport's area (VHHH). 2) After successfull installation, you should start from VHHH and fly straight into the city. You pass by all the suspension bridges - perfectly modelled by SamScene! You enter the city of HK, have a look to all the details at the buildings! Next to to big ferry station on Hong Kong Island, watch out for the "SamScene Building" - the inscription is written along the roof. Watch out for all the other details: the Victoria Peak Cable Car Station atop of the mountain (the cable cars themselves are not included). Look out for the stadium area with the huge roof structure. If you watch carefully, you might even see the tunnel entrance that connects to Aberdeen. Kowloon, of course, is very realistic, too. Memories come up strolling at night through Nathan road .... 3) No compatibility problems with P3D4.5 at all. The frame rate with my equipment (NVIDIA GTX 1660 TI, 6GB video ram) lies closely below 10 fps, day and night (of course, that's a matter of the overall settings). Night simulation ... thousands of lights illuminate the city, it's a bit like standing there within the original location. Furthermore, all suspension brigdes are illuminated at night, even the suspension cables reflect the light. 4) Flying back to VHHH, take a short detour via the Big Buddha on Lantau Island. He's sitting there, calling for your visit. Overall ... a phantastic scenery, covering a big area, very realistic modelling. I think I can say this having been to HK many times in the past. At least 5 stars, worth the money :-)
What a phantastic Scenery! - But let me explain in detail. First step: DOWNLOAD and INSTALLATION is very simple. You get an installation file of 4,2MB; starting it, a perfect download procedure starts: you can choose your own subdirectory where to install (if you want to), and then 18,5 GB of data will be copied via internet to your hard drive (three files at once); you can watch the installation progress and the path of installation. Second step: START your FLIGHT SIMULATOR. After building the database, you're ready to choose your departure airport - very often KGCN, the Grand Canyon Airport. Probably you will be disappointed (like me): airports and other facilities are not included in the package. KGCN is a boaring place without any scenery - no airport halls, no ATC, nothing. Just the original sparse scenery of the simulator. This is why I give only 4 stars: why couldn't MegaScenery have offered us the small, but nice airport KGCN (and maybe others) and the surrounding city of Tusayan - it would have give us more taste of reality just from the beginning! The small file "Photo_Aligned_Airports_Grand_Canyon" hardly has any meaning - the included files are between 2kB and 11kB small (!) - that's nothing for including any airport scenery. According to the explanation, it's only to make the surrounding airports see from higher altitudes, not for ground details. Third step: TAKE-OFF off from KGCN and fly to the South Rim of Gran Canyon and down into the Canyon. Now, take deep breath: all the buttes, temples, cathedrals and amphi theaters stand before you. If you ever have been to Hopi Point or Bright Angel's Trail in reality - the simulator seems to be very close. Even if the dawn shadows partly fall into direction of the setting sun (direction West ! not East), this little mistake doesn't mean much. Fourth: the HUGE EXTENSION of the scenery is as shown on the map that can be downloaded free from the MegaScenersEarth homepage. It starts at the North-Eastern corner, next to the city of Page and the Marble Canyon (horseshoe of Colorado). The Northern boundary follows unspectacular Terrain to the Virgin Peak as North-Western corner. The Western boundary goes down to the most Eastern part of Lake Mead, the South-Western corner ist Red Lake. Then follow the Southern boundary (much South of KGCN) until reaching the South-Eastern corner, and then the Eastern border goes up via Tuba City, next to Little Colorado Canyon and back to Page. Definitely a Must Have for Grand Canyon Enthusiasts!
On my opinion, this scenery seems to be more alive than that of Aasiaat because the village of Upernavik is included with several buildings. Indeed, as mentioned in the manual, the original P3D scenery comes with wrong height (at sealevel), but the airstrip is located on the mountain of Upernavik, thus it was corrected here. Great! Under these circumstances, landing on the exposed runway on top of the mountain is a bit difficult. At least three stars, the details in the surrounding could be better and more sophisticated for today's possibilities.
I'm sorry to say but this little airport (it's more an airstrip than an airport) seems not to be what could be modelled today. If you expect any details , e.g. some roads or houses in the nearby village of Aasiaat, you will be disappointed: there is none (have a look on wikipedia to get an idea what Aasiaat looks like). The scenery improves the original one that comes with p3d, that's right ... but that's all. It's the airstrip, the airport building, some cars and light posts (look at the pictures) - that's it. The scenery should be improved by some buildings and roads of the surrounding, this would put some live to it. Please give us an update, it would be worth it! Important to mention: the scenery works only with the settings according to the included manual. Especially the mesh resolution must be set to 76m - otherwise your aircraft will be moving below the ground level ... At current state, 3 stars are a maximum.

What a nice scenery, worth the money (especially as "nice price")! I'm not really familiar with the airport scenery in reality - isn't there any airport inscription showing the traveller you have arrived at "ADELAIDE"? Four stars .... mightbe there are always some whishes left!
Although I'm not familiar with the real situation: what a surprise, what a nice scenery and supplement to MFSG's Perth Scenery! Take some time and fly from Perth to Rottnest, while surrounding it have a look to the lighthouse, the inland lakes and finally land. Then go back again to Perth again .... that's an enjoyable flight especially during dusk and dawn. Although there's no installer, the scenery is very easy to install: after downloading it, extract the subdirectories (you'll obtain a "scenery" and a "texture"). Copy them both to any directory you create (e.g. C:/P3d4/addon scenery/rottnest), then start P3D, start "scenery" and "Add Scenery", then select the subdirectory you created - and the rest (creating the corresponding library) is done by p3d. Ready - have fun flying!
Although I'm not familiar with the local situation at Perth, my impression of this scenery is a very good one. The buildings seem to be highly detailed, the aprons and runways with all their signs as well. Night lights give a good impression of Perth International Airport during night time. I use the scenery with P3D4, no problems at all. The installation is a bit tricky with all its additional files where you have to copy certain file updates to the subdirectories, but that's explained good what to do. However, an automatic installer could improve the installation considerable. However, finally it runs well!
What a beautiful scenery! After an easy installation according to the included manual, everything works well together with Imagesim's WSSS Changi airport. Fly along the East Coast Park heading towards the skyscrapers of the city center, into Marina Bay and watch the small Merlion. Then head on over the cranes of Keppel Harbour, reach the Skytrain between Mount Faber and Sentosa, and find your way back to Changi with a detour over the Singapore Nature Reserve. Of course some wishes are left for future design; maybe in conjunction with FS2020, who knows right now. But at present time, this scenery is a must for each Singapore fan and worth the money.
