I bought Budapest because it was on sale. It was so good that I immediately had to get this one as well - and I must say that this one is equally awesome. If you have one, you really ought to have both. The work of LHSimulations is at the top tier of FS development quality - and you will find none better for FS9 and probably none really better for FSX either.
I already knew their freeware was good... but I had simply no idea how good this product would be. I have NEVER seen an airport so perfect as this one. (Sounds like hyperbole - but it isn't.) In complete honesty (speaking as one who has spent FAR too much money on nice airports and FAR too many hours installing freeware scenery), I had no idea it was even possible to create something that so completely captures the atmosphere of a real airport as this one - even the best of them have been slightly off. Not so here, though. And so perfectly fine performance-wise, too! I have no idea what took me so long to get it. It's a steal at full-price - as a DealoftheDay offer, there frankly shouldn't be one of you that doesn't have it in your hangar.
One of my favorites - it handles superbly, sounds wonderful, looks great. It is clear how much work and thought went into this plane - and the result is wonderfully high quality. I'd recommend this one without reservations. However, I would like to state that it takes a better CPU to run it well than I have on my PC - so I can enjoy it, but not fully love it.
Beautiful model and livery, good price, breath-taking accuracy, and a good cause! What more do you want?
Be careful, this is an old (OLD) FS2002 era model. If you want a flashy new addon, this is not for you.
I do not have FSX, so my comments only apply to the FS9 version. If you are buying this for FS9, be aware that the models are old, the textures low resolution, and the systems modeling simplistic. You should also be aware that the FS9 version does not include scenery, as the FSX version does. Nonetheless, this package is easily the best Beaver that will ever be for FS9. It is hard to imagine anything one-upping this. The sheer variety is amazing, the quality, even this far into the life of the sim, is good. But, it is a Beaver. If you don't want a Beaver, you won't like it. If you do, old as this is, the Aerosoft Beaver will be like manna from heaven.
I do not have this product, but I do have the Shockwave WWII Fighters box, which includes this identical product and some other planes, too. Thus, I feel qualified to review this plane. The VC is perfect. Inaccurate for a Spitfire MkI - the VC is more akin to that of a MkV, but that doesn't stop me from saying perfect. The exterior is perfect and accurate to the mark, both in modelling and textureing. Same with sounds, FD, systems, etc. This warrents your money more than most things can.
Perfect. I cannot say this about all addons I have bought from this or any other company, but this product is worth the frankly rather low price they sell it for!
