After installing the latest patch, I’ve noticed several major improvements.
Finally, I can report that the issues with the autopilot failing to hold altitude on approach have been resolved. Bravo! The aircraft handled my challenging approaches to LYTV (Tivat) and LDDU (Dubrovnik) gracefully. To truly stress-test the airframe, I used a third-party turbulence add-on, and the flight model held up well. It also appears that engine tuning has been refined; the aircraft no longer feels unrealistically overpowered. These test flights were conducted using the DC-9-30 passenger variant.
There are just a few things I would still love to see addressed:
Spoiler Click-Spots: I couldn't find the manual click-spot for spoiler deployment, though assigned joystick buttons worked fine.
Sound Package: The audio experience still feels a bit suboptimal and could use more depth.
GPS Integration: Replacing the current unit with a more realistic GPS (like a GNS430/530) would vastly improve immersion for "VATSIM junkies." The current unit lacks crucial capabilities, such as displaying distance to waypoints or the ability to program SIDs. While an experienced flyer can manage using radio navigation and the Navigraph charts on the tablet, a robust GPS would be a game-changer.
This patch is a big step in right direction for this addon.
10 months on and STILL WAITING FOR SOUNDS AND AN UPDATE!!!!! What a rip off! Thank Sky Sim I hope you enjoyed my 50 bucks. I pains me to have to give this junk at least one star
2 months later and still not one single update. Still the basic systems are not working. 50 bucks to sit in the hangar. An email to the dev the day of release was ignored. Feeling a bit cheated out of the money.
Its a nice Plane and i like to fly it.
But it is advertised as Carrermode Compatible, but i cant use it in carrermode since msfs2024 says its not compatible. I Love to fly the DC-9, but i dont want to waste my time just flying in freeflight without any reward or risk in it...
i hope it gets fixed.
Amazing aircraft,
not all systems and texturing is acurate, i would say its worth 50 dollars in its current state, but by buying this is also buying a promise of updates that will bring the aircraft up to its price, having said all that, its in a state where enough systems are simulated to fly realistically, also fun aircraft!
For this price point I expect a study level sim. What I got was a lite version. There are so many bugs with this. There is a list of issues. Here are some...
1. Sounds are terrible, not realistic-They cut out with certain clicks.
2. Electrical system not accurate
3. Brakes are not correct. When you set the park brake it should set when pulled, it's opposite.
4. Can't shutdown the APU
Do not buy!
Not worth the price! This airplane is not ready for MSFS24. It has numerous bugs and several non-working features as listed in the description. For example, the APU start switch does not stay in the OFF position. Although I click the box to NOT display the copilot, he does not disappear. The cockpit windows, which are supposed to open and close do not do so. I have not found away to disconnect the Auto Throttle. The AP is a mess as it does not work, and YES, I have enabled the 3 servo switches.
The manual is not very well written, except for the parts that are copy and pasted directly from a DC-9 FOM.
This airplane has potential, but right now it looks and acts like something from FSX, not MSFS24 or even MSFS2020 for that matter.
