RDPRESETS - LIRN NAPLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MSFS
The worst Naples airport ever made. RDPresets abandoned this scenery after the initial release, despite al the bugs reported. The list of things that are completely wrong with this scenery is really long. Where do I start? For one, the light poles at stands 51-57 are inexplicably missing, which makes the apron absurdly dark at night. In fact, nighttime lighting is the major issue with this scenery—but we’ll get back to that in a moment. Speaking of light poles, they’re duplicated at stands 61-66. A mistake that any developer would have fixed in a heartbeat. Do you think they did anything about it? Of course not. But there’s more. For example, the concrete wall on the west side of the airport is missing, replaced by an unrealistic iron fence. And then there’s the sloppy texturing everywhere—especially on the terminal! Blurry, slapped-on textures that might have been acceptable in FS2004, but that look downright fake and embarrassing in FS2020, especially at night. I can overlook the lack of interior modeling, but at least give us proper glass façades! Even the landside is completely made-up. The Aerosoft scenery released in 2017 was miles ahead of this. Clearly, this was made using Google Maps only, without even looking at a real photo of Capodichino. It’s barely worth it even as freeware, considering the masterpiece created by the Napulevola team for FS2004 back in 2006! Capodichino is Italy’s 4th busiest airport by passenger traffic. It definitely deserves better
