This DH.104 Dove and Devon collection for FSX and P3D includes five variants in a total of six liveries, with analogue and modern digital avionics options.

A direct descendant of the famous 'Wooden Wonder', de Havilland's Mosquito fighter/bomber, the Dove was developed by the same designer, R. E. Bishop, who was also responsible for the DH Comet racer and the awesome Comet jet airliner. An all-metal monoplane design, the aircraft was built as a short-haul passenger and executive transport to replace the successful Dragon Rapide biplane. The Dove first flew on September 25, 1945. An immediate success, many Doves were sold from 1946 on with Argentina placing orders for 70 examples.

An initial 30 examples were delivered to the Royal Air Force, suitably converted and equipped as light transports. Named the 'Devon', the Royal Navy also operated them as transport and liaison aircraft. The Royal New Zealand Air Force operated modified Devons for many years, in fact right up to the 1970s where they were used as training machines.

Scores of airlines large and small have operated Doves on short-haul routes and executive transport duties. Many flying on with new owners, well into the late 90s. Restored examples make popular tourist attractions for air show rides and several examples travel the world today as flying museum pieces.

MODEL VARIANTS

DH.104 Dove Mk.2
This early example was fitted with a clear Perspex roof cockpit and clear Perspex 'Cock’s comb' aerial, a characteristic signature of the early Doves and Devons.

DH.104 Dove Mk5/6
The cockpit now had a solid plastic/fibre roof which was painted. Many of these versions were continually upgraded in service and went on to fly with private companies as air taxis and executive transports. In this simulation you will also find a Mk.6 with modern avionics for those wishing to have modern conveniences in their classic.

DH.104 Dove Mk.8
The last version of the Gypsy Queen powered Doves, built primarily for the US market. The cockpit roof was lengthened and the roof aerials removed in favour of more modern types.

DH Devon C Mk.1 and Sea Devon C Mk. 20
As operated by the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. These examples have the military specification cockpits, designed for a single pilot and navigator/engineer seats. The copilot had a large DeccaLog analogue flight recorder with moving pen and a complex system of dials and controls to plot the flight.

DH Devon C20 RNZAF
This is a unique variant of the Devon, built specifically for the Royal New Zealand Air Force. It is fitted with a large navigation Plexiglass dome atop the fuselage and a big viewing bubble in the forward starboard window. The wings are dominated by two three-mast aerial arrays mounted on the top surfaces and below the nose is a long tube which houses the 'LongWire' antenna, a navigational training aid.

ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL AVIONICS
In the included Dove Mk.6 there are two versions of the avionics: a conventional analogue set and a modern set of digital avionics for comms and navigation use, including a handy flight monitoring computer. Digital avionics default in the Dove Mk.8.

PREALSOFT - HD CITIES - CASABLANCA FSX P3D
Ken McVie
This transforms the look and feel of Casablanca airport for P3D by Prealsoft. On takeoff to the west, the city is presented in amazing detail with the port and all key landmarks modelled well. Howeve-
r, I am a bit annoyed with Prealsoft for bringing out a combined Casablanca airport & city package not long after I purchased the airport on its own. Had I waited a few more weeks, I could have purchased the combined package more cheaply than buying the two separately (which is what I did). So, ths alone has put me off buying anymore Prealsoft airport products in the future.
CARENADO - DO228 100 HD SERIES FSX P3D
thomas holzinger
The model and textures are simply great, as well the immersion in the VC and in the virtual cabin. The engine sound is ok, even the start-up sequence seems too short. The flight dynamics seems reasonable. The model has the Carenado usual animations which looks great. Unfortunately there is a major bug in regard to the stab trim indication which is reversed when the instrument lights are switched on.

VIRTUALCOL - EMBRAER E190-195 REGIONAL PACK FSX P3D
Alec Main
Very impressed with this product! VirtualCol continues to amaze me with their progress of each product they release! This is by far, significantly better than their previous versions of their E-Jets v1 and v2. Textures look great inside and out, implementing their features of separated landing lights and windshield wiper animations as in previous products released in the past years. I've been keeping track of this product for over half a year now, and been checking up on it daily to see it's progress. Happy to say, I am not disappointed at the release. $21 USD for this aircraft or $12 if you've previously purchased the old version of this series, not a bad price at all. The only thing I found odd, was while the product was in development, it mentioned an Embraer Lineage 1000 to be released as well, but it wasn't included in the final product; shame that the corporate/busin-
ess version of this plane never made it and was scrapped at the last minute. Still a very enjoyable plane however and like with every VirtualCol product, it's easy on the frames! Flying into busy areas such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc is much smoother with VirtualCol planes, and that has always been a staple to their products. Al-
so wanted to point out that this is the first VirtualCol plane that has wingflex! Very neat feature added and the first for VirtualCol products! Looking forward to the future releases of their products as always; and can't wait for the new innovations and features they'll add next to their upcoming products!
PILOT'S FSG - LEAL - ALICANTE AIRPORT P3D4
Lieuwe Bleeker
this scenery is excellent, to have a look inside the terminal and you see walking people! The sound at the apron, and more details a great job!
FSPS - P3DV4 BOOSTER LIVE 2018
Christoff du Plessis
I can say that it does work. Just not much as a "boost" as some people expecting, but it helps to allocate resources correctly under heavy load conditions. For example at a detailed airport or city set the slider to 100% and your frames will be higher than without the tool. When you're cruising over the countryside or when you're out sightseeing, set it to 60 percent or so and you wont experience blurred terrain texture tiles.
SIM SKUNK WORKS - MCDONNEL DOUGLAS AV8B II HARRIER FOR P3D V4.X
Boris Guerrero Reyes
The aircraft is great. Love the graphics work and and the VTOL module works perfect in P3D V4.5 but it looks like the the Tacpack functions do not work. Did several bombing campaigns using FSX@war but when the bombs impact their targets it does not destroy them. I also noticed that when the AIM-9 AA missile hits an aircraft it causes damage but it does not shoot it down like other Tacpack aircraft do! I reported several glitches to the SSW team and they responded back but they gave me the incorrect fix advice. Other than that I am completely satisfied with the product. The aircraft flies great and navigation is good. TACAN also does not work even if you follow the instruction in the PDF manual.
JETSTREAM DESIGNS - MILANO LINATE FSX P3D
David Watson
What a smashing airport. Make sure your AV etc is turned off prior to installation. Do a walk-round with the Trike, in slew mode, or with BOB to get a good look. Get the update and download it from JetStreams' website, revised AFCAD etc, and then you are good to go. This is one addon airport that I highly recommend, plus it works just as well in FSX Steam Edition without any glitches.
