A truly legendary and beautiful historical seaplane. An excellent by gone era airliner. There is a moderate amount of systems simulation. The sounds are great. The modelling is great and there are numerous liveries. I personally wish for a ground power and air supply truck. The aircraft is stable and is a joy to manually take off and manually land. I also wish for a clickable disappearing yoke because it conceals the DME. Overall a great vintage airliner and if you like these, go get her... I would love to see a B747-SP, which is of the same era.
A beautifully done terrifying heavy Russian military helicopter. This time Nemeth have returned to do what they do best: Russian (Soviet) helicopters. The helicopter has detailed sounds, colourful textures and numerous details. The external sounds are a bit quiet. The included liveries are from three air forces - Algerian, Vietnamese and Russian. I am not sure about the start up procedure but CTRL E can also be used. The helicopter moves sedately due its size and is quite easy to fly, although very sudden movements of the cyclic can lead to disaster. Landings are not hard. The systems are not modelled in a great detail. Still for those who like their helicopters to be big and Russian, this is an essential bird. My humble requests for Nemeth: Please make a P3dv4 version of the Mi 2 and for the Mi 8. And my greatest wish is to see a detailed Mi 6. This is a massive giant of a helicopter from the Soviet Era. Keep us supplied with Mil Mi helicopters and we will be so happy.
Beautiful textures and outstanding sounds. It is a bit of a lite package in terms of systems. Handles like the heavy turboprop it is. I suppose it would be a must for those who like Fokker aircraft and also for anyone who is into turboprops. I wish it had a bit more systems depth.
The MD 82 or Maddog, has been one of the most missed Airliner Sims from the FS2004 and FSX Eras. Now, with the product available in 64 bit for P3Dv4, one can again enjoy the beautiful Maddog. The MD has all the airliner procedures simulated and attention to detail is quite necessary by the Pilot. One is required to manage systems and fly it either by autopilot or manually the simulation is highly challenging and rewarding. It is a hand full, in most stages of flight. Textures and sounds are both very well executed and the external views are beautiful. The characteristic bitching Betty warning sounds are most enjoyable. Now that the paint kit has been released a lot of liveries have become available in various sites, although there is no easy way to install them, one must manually do that. I wish there was a utility to download and add liveries seamlessly. That would make it a five star add-on in my opinion. The price of the simulation is a bit on the high site, but not unreasonable, for the fidelity of the simulation and the current price trends.
I am very happy to see my home airport being made available again. The previous version by another developer was never updated and this left me without a Larnaca Airport for p3Dv4. Well done to Justsim for this. The airport is very detailed, the textures are sharp and realistic and it really corresponds to the reality. The FPS are not affected.
I am an upgrade customer so I purchased this as an upgrade to the P3Dv3 previous verson. In P3DV4 the whole simulation is much more smooth and flawless. The Dash 8 simulation needs no introduction. It is the most complete modern turboprop airliner simulation available and it is at a level of sophistication that exceeds what is available in the market by far.
Excellent addition to the already excellent single seat Lightning. A seriously fun and challenging aircraft to fly, and the best of all it works. No unpleasant CTDs as with other similar military aircraft from other developers, this actually works. And it has fantastic crisp textures and frightening roaring engine sounds.
Do buy it. The Transall C 160 is a military transport plane that is simulated in almost all detail. The model, sounds, flying characteristics and systems are represented as faithfully as it probably is in the real aircraft. The learning curve is steep and rewarding. Careful attention to the manuals will reward the virtual pilot of this aircraft. Even though, it is hard work flying the thing and managing the several systems. I wholly recommend this excellent aircraft.
Excellent Excellent. I have always wanted a good Havana and this is it. It captures the feeling of Cuba and the airport looks 60s-70s styled.
The Lockheed L1011 Tristar is a 1970s era wide body airliner, that together with the Boeing 747 helped expand long range and high capacity passenger traffic. The Tristar was a very advanced aircraft and many of its innovative features can be found on newer Boeing and Airbus Aircraft. Due its advanced nature and competition from McDonnel Douglas and other issues related to its engine manufacturer Rolls Royce, it was not very successful commercially. But it was preferred by crews and passengers, due its spacious cockpit and cabin comfort. Due to its complexity, the aircraft has never been done well in FSX/P3D, until Captain Sim had a go at it. This a sophisticated simulation for those who like their simulations sophisticated. It is so good, that I still use it now, since it was released back in 2013. A big thanks also to a certain repainter, she knows who she is, who has developed dozens of beautiful liveries for the Tristar.
Nothing wrong with this scenery. It is comprehensive and detailed with smooth frame rates. Another excellent airport made by Fly Tapa, the leader in P3D mega airports. It is a 2.1 GB file so make sure you can download it easily.
The Lockheed L049 Constellation or Connie, is already included in a simplified version in P3D. A2A have done a professional version of the old piston engine airliner. The model is superb. The sounds are superb. The systems modelling is excellent and innovative for this type of vintage aircraft. The option to use or not the Flight Engineer is very convenient and keeps the Captain busy as a Flight Engineer during the cruise mode. The loading/unloading and the functions of the stewardess are also another extra feature. This aircraft is gorgeous in all respects and deserves its high price. Let us hope to see more liveries by skilled end users. A2A have managed to set a bench mark for classic prop liners and we can only hope for more classic liners from A2A, maybe a Boeing B747 SP perhaps?
A solid aircraft offered by the veteran prop team Carenado. A very detailed and relatively easy aircraft which has beautiful sounds. The Shrike is easy to control in taxi and in flight and is quite suitable for short or medium cross country trips and for bush flying missions. The panel has a dated and used look, which is unusual, but reflects the ruggedness of bush flying. The flying characteristics are very stable with or without the autopilot and the aircraft is very agile and responsive. The panel is a bit dark under natural lighting. Detailed bush airports would go fine with this aircraft. Flying just above the tree tops is tremendous fun in the shrike.
The Texan or Harvard T-6 is the ubiquitous trainer of the 40s 50s and 60s. It is a very detailed simulation with many options and maintenance settings. I have yet to master its nuances and be warned that it is quite hard to taxi and steer and very hard to land. Strangely it sounds louder in the cockpit than when in sport view. A big thank you to A2A and another big thank you to all the kind re-painters that have done some really striking repaints resembling real world T-6 aircraft.
An excellent veteran traffic application. Minimal impact on frame rates. Installation has to be re-vamped. I managed to install it in P3D V3 only by following advices on forums, however, it is a simple procedure, requiring a few steps. The current version is not for V3, but it can be installed in V3 easily. No more PACIFICA airlines.
A must for DC-9 fans. The exterior model and sounds are excellent and the provided liveries are perfect. Sounds are perfect. Flying is very steady but the yoke seems to turn too much when the autopilot is turning the plane. Systems logic is faithfully recreated. There needs to be some improvement in the appearance of the virtual cockpit, some gauges appear a bit blurry. Highly recommended for those who enjoy classical jets.
This add on needs a mouse with a working mouse wheel, it made me buy a new mouse...Also it needs a good rig as it is a bit heavy on the frames. The extremely detailed LCD displays in the cockpit need some serious PC power, especially if flying in weather or landing at complex add on airports. It has beautiful textures, especially on the outside and wonderful sounds. A great little business jet, which is just what is needed to explore your recently purchased add on airports...beautiful
This is a great simulation of the legendary Canberra. Amazing detail in every respect. A beautiful and accurate model, wonderful sounds and highly detailed systems. The autopilot is not very responsive, but i suppose that this is a hands on aircraft. Hard to land. This is a pilot's aircraft.
This is a very detailed and beautiful scenery of Suvarnabhumi, unfortunately I am not able to use it because it causes a fatal error to come up just beofre landing with any complex payware add on. There is also the issue with the sinking. I have also tried the AI pckage, but it doesn't work. An otherwise beautiful scenery that lacks support and a fix
I have seen a Catalina once in my life near my local airport and I remember that sound...This Aerosoft offering has a very realistic sound and the aircraft itself is outstandingly well done. Apart from having loads of character, it is faithfully recreated and it is fun fun fun to fly. I will be busy with this one for a while....Thanks again Aerosoft because You know just the right type of popular aircraft to make.
A2A produced a very high quality package for FSX. The vintage propliner simulation is really absent from the scene of fs add-ons. Not any more. The attention to detail is very high here. The overall impression of this package is innovation and quality and attention to engine management. The outstanding detail really emphasizes the difficulty and precision needed to pilot those early day propliners....Flying th B377, is hard but rewarding work, at the same time very enjoyable. This offering is recommended to those who like vintage planes and a challenging flight.
Excellent chopper!!! Very well-modelled, perfect sounds, very stable dymanics, smooth frames....Only thing it auto starts...but maybe there is something wrong in my FS configuration....
I agree with the reviews here. The HK scenery including Kai Tak is amazing and brings back memories of my visit there in 1999 - although we landed at Chek Lap kok then. Fly tampa manages what the rest don't - smooth performance in very detail intensive scenery. I look forward to start my 747 landings there. So far I only landed the spitfire, the twin otter and the EC135. So for all of you FS simmers - Flytampa has re-opened Kai Tak. You are cleared to land!!!
Carenado produce the best retro-GA planes and I hope they continue. The mooney is prefect, no complaints, a great touring GA plane that can be a lot of fun in FSX. My personal favorite is the golden-white livery.
After buying this for the second time, I am still satisfied with the overall presentation of the product. A complete C130 simulation with a plethora of animations that would keep everyone happy. Great model, sounds, dynamics and systems, well worth the money. I had it for FS9 and now for FSX. The only disadvantage is the start up sequence, (maybe I am doing it wrong), but the engines come to life as soon as I move the condition levers forward, not when I press the starter buttons. That's the only thing I can find wrong with this. Well done to Captain Sim.
This is the only helicopter with substantial bugs. Luckily they are easy to solve. It is not like Nemeth to release a buggy chopper but this time they have done it. In any case the chopper itself is very well done, the panels are great and it flies well. A great helicopter. Let us have a patch to fix it and I will return here and give it 5 stars.
