JUSTFLIGHT - 146 PROFESSIONAL MSFS

JUSTFLIGHT - 146 PROFESSIONAL MSFS

An excellent product, lot's of YouTube video reviews out there if you want to research deeper. In short it gives good value for your money, multiple types 100,200,300 pax and cargo variants. Good graphics, convincing sound set, and a nice flight model. An interesting jet with advanced capabilities prior to pure glass MFD cockpits. The built in checklist's are easy to follow and work well to be successful operating as a single pilot. Simbrief and Navigraph integration is well executed. Not much else to say other than I think it's safe to say if this is an aircraft type you like buy with confidence.

Cant give it 5 stars because the VC graphics while being fully functional, just aren't up to the standards of the day. That said it's an incredibly fun aircraft to fly, and a worthy purchase if your not put off by the VC graphics.

A2A SIMULATIONS - ACCU-FEEL V2 - AIR, LAND & SEA P3D ACADEMIC

I've had every version of Accu-Feel and this one took awhile to get to P3dV4 but it works as advertised. Brings a lot of lackluster planes to life. Not needed for advanced payware models but works great on planes like the Carenado Do228 and Shrike and some of the Just Flight models I have in my virtual hangar. Sort of a bummer that there is a plug for a discount for previous version owners in the embedded you tube video description that either never materialized or was kept for those who purchased direct from A2A? No worries though as this is worth the full price and I'm happy to support a solid flight sim developer like A2A and happy that I had the option to purchase it here from SimMarket.

AEROSOFT - DOUGLAS DC-8 FSX P3D

AEROSOFT - DOUGLAS DC-8 FSX P3D

Really an excellent simulation of a classic. System depth is extensive you get a lot for the price. Following the amplified checklists can take around 30-40 minutes before your ready to taxi but shortcuts can be taken. The INS system is also included and quite detailed. A joy to hand fly but you need to stay on top of things because there is no automated systems like Auto-throttles and V-Nav modes; you got to fly it. Comes with a complete set of performance charts to help you determine correct stabilizer trim , EPR values and fuel requirements. This is far superior to any other DC-8 available IMO and is a must have for any fan of historic steam driven jetliner. Btw the yokes are removable by clicking the air-brake lever on the MIP. My wish list would include a dedicated cargo version/livery. A load/flight planner with a little bit higher fidelity and the ability to incorporate Milviz Wx Radar. The radar included only displays terrain, or at least that's my understanding. Nice Job!

TURBINE SOUND STUDIOS - MD-8X JT8D PILOT EDITION SOUNDPACK FSX P3D

Bought it because I thought the included sounds with the Maddog X (64bit P3dv4+) were slightly lacking. Made a noticeable difference the engines are more noticable from the cockpit and have that unique angry buzz/humming characteristic as you push the throttles up for takeoff. Whether realistic or not from the flightdeck is debatable but it improved my simulation experience and I feel it was worth the price.

JUSTSIM - DRESDEN AIRPORT EDDC P3D

JUSTSIM - DRESDEN AIRPORT EDDC P3D

Good scenery, the buildings Jetways and apron are all done well. The glass textures aren't that great especially at night, they're not transparent, just sort of a hazy light blue. Dresden is also a little hard on my fps nothing serious but I did notice a bit of lag. They also seem to have raised their prices a couple of Euros as compared to the two other airports by them that I have purchased. 3.5 Stars.

It's a nice airport with a great location a worthy addition to anyone's collection. I give it 3.5 stars. Nothing wrong with the textures or modeling but not state of the art either. Not the best night environment the entire terminal is illuminated at the same level which hurts the immersion. No performance issues noted good fps. Would purchase again.

AEROSOFT - MEGA AIRPORT FRANKFURT V2 PROFESSIONAL P3D4-5

AEROSOFT - MEGA AIRPORT FRANKFURT V2 PROFESSIONAL P3D4-5

It's big and bad, a true mega airport that feels alive! There are so many buildings, gates, blast shields, ramp objects that it's astonishing I did not notice any significant FPS hit. Flew the approach to RWY 25 in the Airbus CRJ-700 and was really impressed at all the terminal detail you can see. Taxied back up and over the highway via taxiway P to the main terminal and was very impressed with the shear volume of detail this package provides. I don't live in Germany and have only been to the airport once in real life so I can't vouch for its current state but, I was able to taxi around using charts from my navigraph subscription and could clearly tell where I was from just from looking around and then verified that assumption by checking the taxiway signs and other markings. I really like it a lot; two big thumbs up!

FSXCENERY - KHSV HUNTSVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FSX P3D

It's not a bad representation of KHSV but, it's not that great either I consider it a charitable donation to the animal clinic. Pros- It's better than default. It's layout is pretty accurate. Funds seem to go to a good cause. Seasonal textures and blends nicely with FTX Global but be sue to disable FTX Global KHSV's .bgl's or you'll get bleed through. Good support but requires a bit of interpretation as English is a bit broken. Con's- Textures can be a bit cartoonist, don't expect much more than enhanced freeware at payware pricing. Price, IMO a bit high even if it is going to a good cause. Some areas way over exaggerated like the container yard to the east of rwy 36R 18L and American flags on the jetways which are fictitious static and detract from the feel. I fly out of KHSV at least 2-3x a month, I know it well. This offering isn't bad but it's not anything to write home about.

PAULO RICARDO - SALVADOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SBSV AND CITY FSX P3D

I had to come see what all the hype was about and while I was not left speechless this is really nice scenery! So much so it prompted me to buy two more by Paulo Ricardo Sao Paulo and Fortaleza. Either his skill has increased with each new release or more options became available to him over time (or both) because this is the best of the three in my opinion. One thing that remains consistent is that performance fps and VAS seem very good. I like that he models much of the cities that you would fly over on approach and departure. It's sort of looks like OSM (open Street Map) data that's been textured so as not to look so bland. A nice compromise of looks vs performance. The night texturing is particularly well done in my opinion and integrates with FTX Global providing a rewarding experience. I've paid more for less with other developers so in terms of value this easily earns five stars.

TAXI2GATE - HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT VHHH FSX P3D

IMO this is excellent scenery and I am using it in P3Dv3 without any issues in fact performance is quite good even with Fly Tampa's KaiTak enabled. I've had no problems with freezes or crashes occasionally a slow texture load when panning with Track IR but my settings are pretty high and that's system related not scenery related. Ive had no issue with FPS or OOM errors with high quality aircraft PMDG, Majestic, as well as others. Taxi2Gate makes a good product and this is no exception.

I don't have any issues running this scenery in P3dv3.2 and just like their LOWS scenery I consider it among the best I own. No issue with FPS or VAS usage and excellent textures both day and night. IMO Digital Design did an amazing job with ULLI and I look forward to their next release

SXAIRPORTDESIGN - NORFOLK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FSX P3D

SXAIRPORTDESIGN - NORFOLK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FSX P3D

I purchased this based on the previous positive reviews. I thought that perhaps the screenshots were just poor examples of the actual product; I anticipated a three star product and that's what I received. The accuracy of the airport might well be spot on but the textures and quality of the modeling is sub-par IMO, certainly nowhere near the level of the high end developers. Sure it's not terribly expensive but there is a lot better scenery available for the same price or less. That said I wouldn't recommend this unless you just have to have Norfolk.

Great little application, does what it says. It can do pounds as well as KG's and can be configured a couple of ways. I like to use it on my client machine via FSWide and it runs in this configuration without error. I suppose it could be a bit cheaper but it works and works well.

JETSTREAM DESIGNS - LITTLE ROCK NATIONAL AIRPORT 2014 FSX P3D

JETSTREAM DESIGNS - LITTLE ROCK NATIONAL AIRPORT 2014 FSX P3D

My first Jetstream design and it's a pretty nice piece of scenery. It installed into P3d V2.2 using their included installer without issue (I did not have to use an Installation tool like EMT). Frame rate friendly and some solid modeling work around the terminal. I would consider buying from this developer again. IMO their work on this release puts them a little below the top tier (Fly Tampa, FSDreamteam, Flightbeam and the latest releases from T2Gate) and a little better than your average Imagine Sim, Tropical Sim releases. Bottom line is that it's the only commercial version of Little Rock that I know of and it's worth your money if you want to add that airport to your Sim.

CARENADO - C337H SKYMASTER HD SERIES X-PLANE 10

CARENADO - C337H SKYMASTER HD SERIES X-PLANE 10

This is actually the first Carenado aircraft I have purchased for Xplane that I prefer the FSX version over. It's still a great plane and worth your money but I don't care for the smaller Garmin unit and the enlarged Collin's radios that fill the void. Some have said that they like the large digits on the radios, making them easier to read, but not me. I'm docking it a star for the radios, which is more personal preference than anything, as well as having to go find a patch to fix the toe brakes that are missing. The toe brake issue should have been updated by now and lastly for the small but annoying Option and View Control Icons that remain visible on the side of the V/C which should have an option to hide. The night lighting is excellent and it's a joy to hand fly. My complains are small when you take all the good thinks that this plane does; it's still my favorite GA twin on both platforms FSX or Xplane 10.

DMAX - BLACKSHAPE PRIME FOR X-PLANE 11

Nice plane, it feels like your own personal hot rod. Handles very well, easy to trim and fly by hand. The EFIS knobs are a little difficult for me to manipulate from the VC but other than that it's a great addition to my fleet worth the money. The Author is very responsive too. I had a question about the datarefs used in those effis knobs because I wanted to program them to a hardware switch and he replied right away and was very friendly and helpful even though my questions were probably a bit out of the norm for typical support. If your looking for a lightweight fairly simple machine to just enjoy the scenery but still has style and speed this is the ticket.

JROLLON - CRJ-200 XP

JROLLON - CRJ-200 XP

Quite simply this CRJ 200 is currently the finest regional jet on any platform FSX or XP. It's a little heavy on frames but I've got enough horsepower to run it at 30+ most of the time. It will dip down in the 20's in heavy weather around a detailed airport (Aerosoft) but is still very manageable and I could turn down some rendering options if I wanted to. Great graphics and sounds, awesome 3d cockpit with Track IR. It keeps me flying Xplane.

ONET VALLEY - WATTAY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LAOS FSX

I wish Mr. Lehto had read my review for Onet Valley's Yangoon Airport before he bought this Airport! I can confirm everything he has said in his review STAY AWAY from Onet Valley until they get their act together. These issues are systemic problem for at least two of their sceneries, not an isolated incident! The photoscenery around the airport is a total blurry mess, the trees and bushes are 2d and look like they are cut out of cardboard. Even with crash detection off your aircraft will rumble down the main runway like it's a dirt strip. Simmarket should not sell their products until they are fixed.

ONET VALLEY - YANGON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MYANMAR FSX

Thanks for trying to help, but I still can't use this or the other Onet Valley title, Wattay International, without disabling crash detection. I am very familiar with how the scenery library works as I have well over 50 payware scenery titles but unfortunately it does not matter where these titles are placed I still have issues. I wish now I had not purchased them at the same time. With no active support site, and no documentation, my initial review stands. I'll try asking for help on some of the more popular flight sim websites and if I can get it sorted I'll come back post the fix and adjust my rating accordingly.

Difficult to enjoy as I am suffering from a mesh/ elevation issues. My aircraft instantly crashes on loading and when trying to fly into this airport from afar I get a collision and crash almost 150 feet above the threshold. I use FS Global 2010, but there is no manual, no charts, no support forum, to get assistance from. I also have a lot of texture shimmering, so let the buyer beware.

AEROSOFT - DA20-100 KATANA 4X FSX

AEROSOFT - DA20-100 KATANA 4X FSX

This is an excellent light plane, quite different from other light aircraft on the market in that maintenance and operational limits are taken into consideration.Anyone familiar with Aerosoft's/Digital Aviation Dornier Do-27X (I believe same author of the Katana)or Air to Air Simulation's Accusim models will be right at home here. Great graphics and sounds, slightly heavy on framerates but still acceptable given the complexity of the simulation. I have a pretty strong machine I930 o'clocked at 4.4ghz 480gtx etc. but still elected to bump a few settings back a notch in order to get the most out of the Katana when using it with all the heavy add-ons REX, ASA, UT2, Mesh, Orbx AU/NA etc. Don't let the light plane/trainer concept fool you. This is a serious add on that will quickly humble anyone who does not read the manual and elects to just firewall the throttle. It's certainly not hard to fly but, you need to follow procedure and respect boundaries or you'll end up learning the hard way. It's not without some minor faults none of which are deal breakers though and there is great support via Aerosoft forums not only from staff but other users. Some will probably think that the maintenance portion and pre-flight routines are a bit tedious, but IMO it adds a ton to an already great Sim. My only wish is that they (the Author and Aerosoft) would take the same concept and apply it to an even more complex/faster IFR touring machine...Oh, and that they add support for the Reality XP Garmin 430 in a future patch or update. Awesome plane, well worth the cost of admission!

EAS - ZSSS SHANGHAI HONGQIAO INTL

EAS - ZSSS SHANGHAI HONGQIAO INTL

This is an interesting product in the sense that I can see its potential but it’s my opinion that it currently falls short in several areas. I’ll start with the good and that’s the terminal area buildings which for the most part are done fairly well. The jetways are textured nicely with what is a convincing amount of weathering and markings however, in the current state they are not animated (non-moving) which to me is a disappointment. I also had some issues with some of the textures flickering. Some of the animations are 2D as well like the cable bundles suspended underneath the jetways not a big deal but noticeable. There is a fair amount of airport clutter, carts, service vehicles and equipment but most of it is static so there is not a lot of emersion. The light towers are done quite well and overall I feel like the general terminal area is the strong point of this package. The two problems I have with this package are the reason I docked it two stars. The first is the photoreal areas surrounding the airport. In my opinion these are not up to standard the colors look washed out and blurry and do not blend well with the surrounding terrain. I don’t know what level of resolution they used but it certainly doesn’t start to clear up until about 1,500 to 2,000ft AGL. While I am not a huge fan of autogen buildings the photoreal sections of the terrain surrounding the airport are devoid of a lot of the autogen buildings and give a sense of just FLAT surroundings. Until you get over 2,000 feet AGL it feels awkward, and by that time you’re generally leaving the area anyway. Last is the cost this package is priced about the same as Fly Tampa’s Kai Tak and more than Overland’s Seoul airport offerings, which in my opinion are both superior Asian airport products. This package should be priced in the neighborhood of 16-20 Euro’s max. It would be nice to see the vendor link up with Aerosoft and make this package AES compatible which would make it better and solve some of the staleness in the terminal area. I’m not trying to be overly harsh, I hope that the developer continues to grow and refine their techniques and develop some more commercial airports in the often overlooked Asian region because they do have potential. A reduction in pricing and some more attention to detail and they should be able to produce airport packages more deserving of your attention and money. I would suggest they either source high quality airborne photography or satellite images or drop it altogether and focus on 3d modeling of buildings in and around the terminal area and on the common approach and departure paths into and out of the airports airspace. It would be nice to see them try and produce Jeju, Busan, or Daegu terminals in South Korea for hops from ZSSS.

OVERLAND - INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RKSI FSX FS2004

Very pleasantly surprised by this title. I have flown out of this airfield numerous times in real life and the level of detail is very good. I have a lot of FSX add on and payware airports and this package ranks right up there with some of the better publishers offerings like those from Aerosoft, Orbx, Fly Tampa etc. While there is nothing staggering about the scenery and it does not stun the user with breathtaking visuals it is certainly a solid offering at a fair price. It's AES compatible which makes it even better. I would recommend to a friend and buy again especially If your looking for a hub in Asia. I hope that Overland publishes more titles in the often overlooked Asian Airspace. 4.5 stars
